what goes around comes around/Refinery29

I had fun being a part of this Refinery29 story! WGACA is one of my favorite vintage boutiques here in LA.  If you are ever in the area, I definitely recommend paying this store a visit!
Happy Wednesday!

rainy day tattoos

My rainy day checklist:
1. Grilled cheese sandwiches w/ creamy tomato soup
2. Hang out sessions with friends
3. Tatttoooooooos
4. Elliott Smith/Morrissey

5. Fresh brewed tea time

It sucks when you have the day off and it’s raining. Dragging myself out of bed and being productive is really hard on this kind of day.  I decided instead of lounging and wasting my precious time away, that I would visit my friend Molly at her tattoo shop.  My rainy day turned into one of the best I’ve had in a long time…even got a tattoo to show for it!

oddball

(Kill City jeans/flannel, vintage Yes t-shirt, Zara jacket)
(PAM t-shirt, Acne jeans)

I had my dude friends style me this morning….this is what they came up with….not bad, right?!
They know exaaaactly what they want in the shot and even used my weird/random items in my apartment as props!

looking back

What started out as a tiny experiment has turned out to be my full time love affair.  In my wildest imagination, I never dreamed that I would meet such creative and artistically minded individuals who have the same strong desire and passion. I have been blogging since June 2011 and I have met so many of you who support me day in and day out.  I want to thank you all so much for reading and I hope that you continue to ride this gnarly, yet awesome, wave with me.

sleepy seeds

(Capezio sweater, vintage t-shirt, Isabel Marant pants, Zara bag, Rachel Comey beanie, Karen Walker belt)

Slept in today, rolled out of bed, threw on my favorite Isabel trousers and grabbed my comfy worn vintage tee and my cozy old warm-up ballet knit. To look like I wasn’t still in my jammies, I paired this look with a suede bag and a charm necklace to give it a polished feel. Hit the streets in the heart of WeHo on a very chilly day in L.A. to grab a hot cup of coffee with my bestie.
What is your go-to cozy look?

golden west

(Acne blouse, Theyskens for Theory vest, Acne jeans, Balenciaga boots, Phillip Lim bag, Miu Miu sunnies)

Wandering the streets of West Hollywood today in my favorite blue jeans by Acne. I love mixing textures, so I paired this straight pleated blouse with a chunky cropped cable knit vest. Once you have a good pair of denim, you can put anything with them.
BTW- just noticed that Acne is having a pretty huge sale…check out their site!
I spent most of my day off relaxing and hanging out with my best friend, Molly!
Don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have such good people in my life!
Hope you’re having a great week! Xx

little joys

Just sharing with you guys some of my essentials for the new year- but amongst all of “my material things” is my favorite purchase of the year; a book about material.  I think I may have the biggest girl crush on Stephanie Lacava. Her book, An Extraordinary Theory of Objects, was such an inspirational read.  I feel all of us can relate to her in some ways.  Her story is about coming of age in a foreign country and how she deals with feeling like an outcast by finding beauty in strange yet beautiful objects. Makes me want to take a second look at all of the beauty we sometimes miss in this fast paced world!
Anyway, just get the book….I promise you, it won’t disappoint!

Outerwear will always own my heart- love how easy this jacket will transition into spring!
All floral everything!! :)

Hope you guys had fun bringing in the New Year!  Xx

oxblood gaze

(Isabel Marant Kady jacket, A is for Audrey dress, Givenchy platforms, Comptoir Des Cotonniers hat, Margiela knuckle rings)

I picked up this hat in New York last October and it has finally made its debut on this eve of New Years.
The knuckle rings are so so good…my parents picked them out for me as a Christmas gift- they know me too well :) Each ring adjusts to each finger perfectly and toughens up any look. If you’re looking for a new set of rings…these are the ones you want.

girls will be girls

Took these shots of my friend Ashley this morning before work. Love her laid back look. She is also probably the only person I know who can pull of that rad lip color!
